Unbridled was born from the passion and vision of sisters Tammy York Day and Tonya York, who set out in 2012 to harness the energy of the Kentucky Derby for a higher purpose. With a shared background in philanthropy and event leadership, they created Unbridled Eve — a signature Derby Eve Gala that combines glamour with giving. Since then, their leadership has transformed Unbridled into a nationally recognized platform that elevates brands and charitable causes through world-class events, heartfelt storytelling, and a deep commitment to making a lasting impact.
At Unbridled, we measure success not just in dollars on a tax form — but in the relationships we forge, the causes we elevate, and the lives we impact. Our model is unique: we create high-profile, luxury events that serve as powerful stages for charitable giving and amazing brands. At the heart of the Unbridled model is the Unbridled Charitable Foundation (UCF) and its incredible nonprofit organizations it supports — the beneficiaries.
Each year, UCF carefully selects a Primary Beneficiary and a group of Supporting Beneficiaries whose missions align with our values and have the potential to create meaningful, measurable change.
From feeding children and supporting veterans to advancing health care and education, UCF’s beneficiaries represent a diverse range of causes making a real difference in communities across the country.
Through our events, UCF not only raises critical funds, but also provide these organizations with access to new supporters, media exposure, and strategic partnerships that extend far beyond a single evening.
